This is probably a dumb question, but I don't have my truck here to compare it myself. Will a 3310 holley fit on a '72 lincoln manifold without an adapter? The lincoln engine has a 4300 / 4350 motorcraft carb now.

I beleive the bolt patterns on the baseplate are the same, but simply compare baseplate gaskets to see. I can just about guarantee you'll have to modify both the carb and trans kickdown linkage to adapt it, and I'd bet a 12-pack of Bass Ale your old air filter won't fit either.

Head to the auto parts store and compare baseplate gaskets to see if they'll swap (it's free!) and Holley offers a good selection of well-engineered linkage adapters.

You probably wanted to replace the factory air cleaner anyway, if you haven't already. ALWAYS check for hood clearance before slamming the hood down on your new carb/air cleaner assembly. How many hoods have you seen with carb stud dents poking up through the paint? Don't let this happen to you...!!!

Cool, I'm just gonna put this holley on for a brief period to see how the truck runs with a good carb on it. Take some of the problems out of the equation and check for other air leaks and stuff. I looked at autozone and they didn't have a ford gasket out. I'll try pepboys.
