photoposting help

ok..so i got it figured out how to put a pic on photobucket and then link to that in a post.

but i dont want the link listed in my hamb post. i want it so theres a small picture in my post and when you click on the small picture it turns into a big picture.

im a computer idiot. so if someone could give me the slow babystep version of how to do this, id appriciate it.

You have 2 choices.....

1. will look like this....

And remains the same size, this is the "IMG images for message boards" option from Photobucket

Or...you can do it this way....

ok.

so i found the img clickable thumbnails thing.

and i found where (i think) it gets added into the post - the little square insert image icon -

so i cut/paste the thumbnail link into the box and then i get a box w/ a red x in it in my post.

why wont it let the pic be posted instead of the red x?

im ready to throw this computer out the window.

A32flathead....you should do a "how to" for photobucket and get it sticky-ed! - thats some good info!

61Wag, you copy and paste the IMG tag into the body of your post, NOT click on the image button.

On photbucket, after you upload the picture you should be able to click on it, and it should bring you to a page with 3 links or so under the picture that you can just copy and paste into your post.

I think I have it figured,

Go to your pictures you need on Photobucket, make sure you are signed in as well.....

Select the ones you need with the checkbox underneath the picture

Go to the bottom & click the "Generate HTML & IMG code" button

Then select the code you want to use, I use the "IMG images for message boards" one as described above, then copy & paste into the reply box

Like so...

DO NOT USE THE INSERT IMAGE BUTTON AT THE TOP OF THE HAMB REPLY BOX!!

Hopefully that will work for you....if you want to use the click to enlarge method, copy the "IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards" option instead.
