i can pick up a complete running 389 and tranny out of a 1964 pontiac. i'm hoping this is a direct bolt in for my '60 catalina. am i right?
only thing i'm really worried about is the trans mount and driveshaft compatability..(lenght, etc.)
who's got the inside info on this?

It should be the exact same engine and tranny that are in your car now. Pontiac changed the engine design in '65 and even then they bolt in without much hassle.

I live on Summit Blvd. It's kind of across the river from Browne's addition, you just go west on boone from Ash, through the crummy neighborhood and all the way to the end of the point. I've lived here my whole life, went to Mead high school, my parents live in colbert. Spend alot of time over your way, my inlaws live in Kent.

WAIT JUST A FARGIN MINUTE! Pontiac changed the back of the block in 1961. Your 1960 tranny won't bolt up to a '61 and newer block...sorry.
