Hi, my name is John and I have a 1950 Ford Custom 2dr which I just finished up last year after four years of off an on work due to health problems. I'm 66 years young and have been retired for fourteen years. I have basically recreated the car I had back in 1955 when I was in High School. It's a traditional 50's custom of the times. Has a full race Flathead, 286 CI's. Offey heads and intake with 3 Stromberg 97"s, full race cam, Mallory ignition, etc, etc. It's not the fastest thing on the street but doesn't have any problem keeping up with traffic. A lot of the parts on the car are original ones I saved and kept since 1958 when I sold the original car. Namely a pair of Steel Bubble Skirts that I bought in 1955 for $20.00 If I can by of help to any of the flathead or Shoebox fans out there let me know. I took this car all the way down to the frame. Installed disc brakes on the front and a 8 inch Maverick rearend with a four speed top loader trans from Mustang. Thanks for reading my intro. John
