tech. request...color choice???

I know the black car with red wheels has been done alot but it just looks "right" - I imagine it has something to do with the colors being "complimentary"?? Can any of the artists here tell me how to use the "color wheel" or whatever it takes to choose colors that compliment each other for a single color car with different color wheels? I would like to do something other than the black / red combo but I dont know how to choose other colors that look so right together??

Do a search on Google for "Color Wheel" and you'll find some other interesting sites.

Keep in mind there are two sets of primary colors, one for light and the other for paint.
Red, blue, green for light.
Red, blue, yellow for paint.
Think I remembered that right....
