I found this in my Dad's shop some 25 years ago. He died in 73 so it's before that. I know there was a newer FLT Harley but this predated that. Any ideas?

Not quite sure but I think that is a badge identifying you dad as a member of the Odd Fellows. the FLT stands for Friendship Love Truth.

Do a google search using the words FLT Badge Odd Fellows and you will see what is out there.

I thought of Odd Fellows also, but with a skull and crossbones? Seems a little wierd.
Here's what I found doing a quick search.
It appears that though they used the chain with the L.F.T intials they also used the I.O.O.F. letters for International Order of Odd Fellows.

Yep, that's it. It's part of a fifties Odd Fellows bumper clamp. I know Dad wasn't part of anything like that. Probably off of one of his many parts cars. Thanks for helping me ID this thing! Sort of a bummerthat it has such a tame explanation. I always wondered what sort of evil story went along with it.

Kerry, If you can detremine it was from your dad, i would say keep it.
If it is just from one of the cars he had, then throw it in an auction.

Definitely not Dad's. It's auction time. I'm going to start a new thread for that though.

Oddfellows, dude.
I had one on my HD chopper too. I bought it at a swap meet because I like it.
Some summbitch actually stole it off my bike at Daytona.
