hello hambers
my name is Duke. I've been lurking for years and have met a few hamb members in person and finally decided to register. Figured the polite thing to do would be to tell alittle bit about myself.
1st drag race @ 6mos. old
1st vehicle @ 8yrsold (40 model pickup)
grew up chasing wrenches for my dad
worked the pits for dad & his friends as a kid
helped dad in his custom paint shop as well as the subsuquent speed shop
been a member of the NHRA & NSRA
membership in the KKOA since 1991
currently own a 1958 Fairlane (purchased from Hubnut), a '26 roadster, an '81 chevette(chopped 4" & awaiting a 4.3 transplant) and a'98 Dakota(on air bags) as well as a9 foot long '71 triumph and a host of other junk.
I guess it is safe to say that I'm eat up with most things hot rod or kustom related. Anyway glad to be on board and hope to be able to meet many of you in the future.
