I'm also building a 30-31 roadster. I've seen the pics of your car on the Brookville Roadster site and have a few questions. Are you using 2" chopped '32 upper stanchions for your chopped windshield? If so, where'd you get both the W/S and upper stanchions? I see Speedway has the 2" chopped 30-31 W/S but not the 2"chopped uppers to match. I realize the 32's will require some modification to the lower stanchions to fit so the W/S doesn't tilt wrong. I have no problem with that , I just want to find out what my options are.
BTW, I love your car. Mine is very similar.
Thanks,
Don

When I bought the car, it was a stalled project. The pile of parts included two sets of windshield stanchions and bases...I used the painted bases and the stainless stanchions. I couldn't tell you if they are 31 or 32 stanchions, but the bases are model A. The windshield frame was also included. It didn't matter what the measurements were, I knew everything was too tall. I cut the frame down and sectioned the stanchions to match. I would have to go to where the car is stored if you want a measurement.....I've always left the tape measure on the bench when it's time to go after "the look"....it just gets what it needs....thanks for the compliment and have fun with the project...hatch

Hatch,
Thanks for the quick response. I'll probably try the 32 upper stanchions. They're actually cheaper than the 30/31's and are already the correct height.

I cut my windshield frame very carefully with a hacksaw...never hurt the plating and no problems since 1998....the stanchions were also easy to chop....do it now and save re-cutting later....if you are thinking about it.
