Well i guess it's time to quit lurking and post,i don't have a 4 wheeled custom but do have 3 harleys a 1982 fxwg,1967 flh basket, and a 1960 rigid pan bobber.I've owned a lot of early muscle cars but only 1 custom a 1951 ford. Was wondering if anybody on this board owns it now.It had the top chopped by Choprods, who i consider a friend. He also done other fab work on it for me.Well just a working stiff with 2 kids,a wife and a mortgage.Oh my username is from the style of aftermarket frame i have my pan motor in........Greg

Welcome friend.
We used to use a UL frame to get the single downtube. I remember when the first hotrod frames came out, it was sure easier that the old way. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
If your friends with choprods you must be up north.
Swing over to St Jo on Mothers day and I'll buy you a hot dog. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
