I asked a question and got the answer I was looking for. Before you could say, Sonofabitch, it turned into one of those stupid assed pie fights with insults and comments that had zip to do with the original reason for posting it.
So, if I get the question answered can I lock it myself? I'd hate to get a reputation for authoring a lot of crap that just burns up bandwidth.
you can edit and delete your posts and edit the title but can't no you lock a thread
only moderators and some of us editors can lock threads.
please feel free to pm any of us if there is a problem.

Nah, it's not a problem. I asked about the coverage of the Pebble Beach show, Jim A answered me and then Rikster directed me to his page with a lot of great shots of the cars I wanted to see. So, I got what I was looking for. I'll have to admit that I can't resist the witty comebacker and then the thread went to hell. I like to give Jim A a hard time, but I believe he knows that I have no malicious intent. But I think that when my issues are addressed, I'm try to alter the title to reflect that. I like to follow what I start and sometimes the direction it takes surprises and vexs me.
Thanx.

You can't close your own thread, but you can tell the people that are "bickering" to go fight in the parking lot. There has been alot of sub-thread fights lately. Maybe after Ryan gets some sleep after his daughter gets home maybe some "banning" is in order. Heck, I am glad that "Germ" is back. But I think that alot of the 04' and newer guys will not understand him.
