Hey another east coaster saying hi. I'm kinda new to the hot rod scene. I've been tinkering with stuff since i was a kid, I messed with motorcycles for awhile now I'm collecting parts for a hot rod. I bought a ceap flathead V8, It was painted a Greenish color with one Mercury head on it. So i was pretty sure i had a sweet Merc flathead. I took it all apart to inspect it, turns out it was made in 1950 and the cranck was stamped 8BA, and the stroke was only 3.75". So bummer, just my luck. I'll start to rebuild it someday soon. I also ran across some cheap Model A parts that are in really good condition, including a full set of 17" wire rims, love those.
It seems Northern VA isn't really into traditioanl styled hot rods ,everyone here drives fancy cars. I'm always looking for car guys, if you're in the DC area, say hi. I have a couple websites just for fun.

Howdy from another east coaster. I'm not too from ya. I'm just east of Baltimore. I saw your web page. I see you took pics at the Mobtown Greaseball, but didn't see any of my 59 on there.:( That was the day i sold it. I drove it to the show and even got a trophy. Bummer is that i had to drive home in the minivan because the new owner drove off with it to NJ.

Don't feel alone.

I grew up in Falls Church and now live in Winchester (Sinchester)!

My brother and I are into classic hotrods, gassers, trucks and kustoms.

If you come out to the valley on the spring through fall weekends, there is always a show or cruise going on.

Most of the cruises are made up of grandmothers in pooddle skirts!

But cars are cars, and there are some nice rides out this way!

Had up to Manassas Airport on Saturday nights.

Most of the cool stuff blows out of the parking lot early (before 9) then the tunners show up.

Just another car guy in Virginia!
