...feel free to bitch me out if I don't do this right. I've been lurking for about a year, but had to join in so I could add to the post about Lincoln flatheads, a subject dear to my heart. Anyway, here goes.

I am a 56 year old retired engineer from Ventura, Calif. and have been a hotrodder for 40 years. My current projects include a '23 T bucket with a V8-60 flathead, Kelsdy-Hayes wheels and a Halibrand quickchange; a '27 bucketub that will have the '50 Lincoln from under the work bench on an A frame and 9" rear. My daily driver is a '85 BMW 635 CSi (oh blasphemy). I'll post pics if I can figure out how, but computers are not my strong point.

What's a flathead? And why is it under your bench?
Oh BTW, the intro was adequate...and what's a BMW?

Welcome aboard, at least its a real BMW, 635's were pretty serious in touring car racing in these parts. Its the 318 and 520 crowd that upsets me, hell if you gotta haveone get a decent sized engine in the poor thing.
Project sounds cool....

A flathead is what you get when you raise it to fast under a bench...! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And BMW is an accronym for "Beats Me Walking"...! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Drop – welcome. I’m working on a V8-60, (tin side), at the moment, it’s in the shop getting checked and pressure tested. We want to run at Bonneville next summer in a vintage midget.
