Hi all,
I decided to stop lurking and register. Yep I'm a newbie and yep I'm fairly uneducated when it comes to hot rods, but I wana learn and I'm gona learn! :) :D
My name is Jacob. I'm 20 and going to College to be a High School Tech Ed teacher.
I am going to build a hot rod some day, but I have to learn more first so I know what I'm doing... Right now I'm thinking about some kind of early roadster pickup, but I like to stew over these things 'til I know exactly what I want. And being a poor college student doesn’t help! :mad: Time and money are both short! But I DO have an over abundance of time to think about this stuff... expecially durring classes when the professor is going on, and on, and on...about usless shit:rolleyes:
Ya, I like pickups... all kinds. I have a '56 Chevy 3100 that I bought in High School (my first vehicle) but you are going to hate me when I tell you that I am restoring this one. If you don't like that, oh well :) I have just as much respect for restorations as hot rods. It takes a special attention to detail to complete any project and I have been told I can be anal about details :rolleyes: But for the record I DO NOT like street rods and trailer queens! Vehicles should be made to drive and have fun with, as my truck will be! :D At least I'm not playing video games and driving a ricer!:eek:
There is a lot more about me, but that's enough for now. I am the kind that would rather sit back and listen and learn, as opposed to talking and being the center of attention.
