Hello, I have been liking and messing with cars since about '64. One of my brothers found a list I kept back in HS, I had owned over 60 cars by the time I graduated. I liked Y blocks and flathead Fords because they weren't Chevys. Nothing wrong with Chevys, just that everyone had one. I like weird stuff, in HS I had a 322 Buick nailhead in a chopped and channeled Crosley with a T frame  (dunno, it seemed like a good idea at the time), a chopped '53 F100 with a Hudson 308 mountain motor, and a '36 Hupmobile 4 dr. with a 322 nailhead. A lot of 'em were just for fun, to make a few bucks to support my habit.
Now I have a ratty '50 F1 V8, a stock '32 woodie I just got, a '41 Caddy with 472, and the wife has a 289 powered '55 T-bird. Also have a '26 T speedster with Waukesha Ricardo head, but I have picked up a 16 valve OHV conversion by Roof to put on it. It has two fairly large intake ports, and 8 exhaust ports. Weird stuff. Oh yeah, there's also a '37 Chevy firetruck in the herd. If I take it to a car meet, it is the tallest, longest, slowest, heaviest thing there. Four of 'em even run. I teach severe emotionally disturbed kids, so this place sounded just like my home away from home. ;) I'm a fledgling metal butcher, so it takes me too long to do a lot of things, sometimes with a nice pile of rejects before I get there. That's part of the fun. I like the fact that this place tolerates such a wide variety of interests in vehicles.
Later, BobW
