Some kid drove right into the side of my beater a few weeks ago in a parking lot.

When I had a close call with some soccer mom in a Suburban last year she got our insurance company to investigate it based entirely on her word. She alleged that I scraped into her to avoid smashing into someone else and then drove off. Well, our insurance company (we both had the same one) proved without a doubt through inspections that I couldn't possibly have caused the scratch.

So they SHOULD be able to inspect both your vehicle and your neighbor's and prove it was him, unless he got rid of the vehicle or got a new bumper or something.

i got a story too... i was pulling in to a fast food

parking lot following a new bmw next thing i know ,this

old asshole throws it in reverse and backs up into my

coupe, then pulls forward , to my dis-belief backs up into

me again.... i flipped out called the cops guy admits

backing into me ,but was going by some radar gadget on

that piece of shit, thats the only reson he stopped after

fucking up my grill and headlight bar,guy changes his

story later says i hit him, now i have to go to court

cause of this asshole.

Well, I'm feeling a little foolish.

Yesterday when I posted this I was so freaked out that I barely inspected the damage to my car. There was a big white streak of paint across my passenger side door that looked a lot worse than it really was.

Well, after I cooled off a little I went downstairs & looked at it and realized there was no dent. Then I got a napkin out of my car, wet it a little, and literally wiped the white paint right off the door & the only thing left is a few small scratches that are barely visible unless your face is like a foot away from them.

I got over it.......

I thought I was going to have another heart attack at the time....

HRP took the pictures. I was a basket case and 150 miles from home. The insurance mess was awful.......I could have choked the adjuster to death with my bare hands......and slept well at night.

6 weeks later, after theatening legal action......I got the check.......it was over 10G.....but it took it all to fix it back. I wished the 40 had not been hit.......it lost all the patina look from 1957.

Yeah, some cerebral cripple backed into my ultra-low $400 caddy and bent the shit outta the grill and the pointy hood trim... sucks, I was most likely sick in bed 200 ft away when it happened.

But some navy blue car with a plastic rear bumper LITERALLY got a sphincter-like hole reamed into itself... thats my only consolation.

ALWAYS get a police report when your car gets damaged... or anaccident report when its an accident... No, don't even let her sleep with you first, GET the accident/police report first...
