Bring your six banger ride to the HAMB Drags (hopefully in AUGUST!) this Summer and we'll see who's got the BADDEST six-popper passenger car in HAMB-Land!!!

I'll be running a lowly 173 cubic inch six in a big ol' 49 Chevy...oughtta be an easy mark for all those HOT 235s out there, eh? Let's line'em up and see!!!

Tell you what...I'll donate you parts for the 2.8....and run your ass too! Should be an even match...nearly identical cars...one with the 2.8 and the other with a slighty tweaked 235...and my money is on the 2.8! Maybe I'd better get busy building my 261...and disguise it as a stock 216....all jokes aside, even though I'd never do it, the 2.8 should move the car as well as a stock 216 ever did...I do think I'd go 5-spd with the 2.8 though...hell, it'll bolt right up, and use S-10 pedal assembly with the hydraulic clutch...I'll donate a 2.8 bellhousing and flywheel....

My Pop runs a 270 GMC that's bored .030 over, balanced, with a nasty cam, a port job, headers, mallory ignition and a four barrel, but soon it will have 3x1. I doubt he'll come out to the hamb drags though
