Well, I've been on here for awhile now but have never posted. I just lurk and learn a bunch of new stuff. I thought now would be a good time to finally introduce myself.
My name is Bryan, I'm from Warren MI. I'm 25 years old. I just got into the older cars a few years back. My boss is building several mid 30 era's fords, and after being exposed to it for years I finally bought my first project last October. I'm also into sport compact cars (yeah I know).
I have a 1949 ford tudor sedan disguised as a 1951. I bought it from some dude who said it was a 51' but I knew something wasn't right about it seeing as it had the gas cap like a 49'. After digging into the car I know for sure it is a 49'. Anyways, I'm in the process of chopping the top right now. Two weeks ago I removed the top, and now I'm starting to line everything back up. It probably won't be done for at least a year. I also have a 39 ford pu that I bought off of Levis Classic. That is currently on the back burner until I get the 49' on the road.
Basically I'm a poser right now. I'm just learning how to weld and fabricate. I work with metal but on a completely different scale (jewelry). But the main thing is that I'm having fun and I'm excited about it.
Hope to meet some hamber's around here in the future. I went to the billetproof show this year, so I"m sure I saw some of you.
Thanks
Bryan
