K member,
If I ever got a Tattoo, I would get it from you or Jime Litwalk.
I'd say Barnett, but he'd try to make me get a Bart Simpson or something.... :D :D
Awesome stuff.
Everyone just keeps getting better and better......

Great stuff so far guys. This is my favorite post forever.
I've been doing mostly production(dealer)work this week so I haven't had too much time to fool around.I have been making up a bunch of wooden striping brushes for a supersecret(tm)project I am working on.The first six are for the project(different size handles)and the second six are for another project that has been hanging around for awhile.I also have a motorcycle fender I'll post later as I haven't painted it yet;just layed out the design.

Awesome work as usual guys.
A selection of my stuff.
The green AV8 pic is what I started with (a Sean Hammond pic) the yellow AV8 is the finished peice.
I used a pic that was posted on the HAMB as the basis of this illustration of Tom Branch's awesome roadster ( I'm still working on the one that is outside the border)
& bird bomber done in illustrator.

It needs a globe, but I have no particular attachment to any early brands.

Here's some Tech Week Art for y'all.
First a tool box. Sidchrome brand. Left in it's working clothes. Just a brush to get the surface rust off and cleared. I was channelling Simon Watts when I did this one.
Next my new vice. A clean up an paint for this old fellow. A few fine lines and a banner. The brass piece is the thread block from inside the vice. I think it's cool to produce some art the may never be seen again once the vice goes back together.

Here's a new vintage-style neon piece I built and installed this week. Scary Larry helped me bend the aluminum to get that end contour and also helped me weld the thing together. He also busted my balls about the "insect cat and dog" design (I designed the sign...cat and dog are the company's logo though, so I had to work with it) This one is on Eastern Avenue in Baltimore.

And I know I posted pics of this one before, but my brother took these shots of it and I thought they were better than the craptastic photos my digital is capable of.
I build all of these signs out of aluminum and hand paint/letter them using 1-shot.

Safariknut, I'm thinking all those wood striping brushes are going on the side of the pith helmets that your clone army will be wearing. Am I right?
Curtsix, I like the dog and cat sign. I live near Detroit's Woodward Ave. There is/was a lot of history and culture to the ave. But all the old signs, all the neon (and most of the dumpy motels) are going away. We're getting some nice looking buildings to replace it all, but the soul is gone. I'm glad somebody's trying to uphold the old styles.
Speaking of upholding the old styles, the monster shirts are awesome, Tingler.

Not a bad guess but unfortunately incorrect. They WILL be gracing the side of something;namely a brand new anti-hero of the striping culture and that's about all I can say for now.

Very, very good "Art Show", boys & girls!
Curt Six: I really dig your sign work. The "City Pet Center" sign reminds me so much of all the famous "Lynch Electric Sign Co." signs that graced every Chicago mainstreet.
Hidden: Excellent!
Tuck: Yes, your back! I like the direction your logo's have taken with that work.
Thanks to all for the posts.
I got nuthin' new. Here's a old panel for the new HAMBr's and a old pic dug up from the crypt so ya can all have a chuckle. Show's me about '79 with a old show sign. The other show signs are from '81 or 2. Those were the days!

I didn't get a chance to post these last week so here they are.
I flamed and striped a 5K Hyster forklift 2 weeks ago. This thing is pretty cool. Lots of polished stainless steel and aluminum on it. It's the owners personal lift for his large shop of cars. Wanted a tricked out. :D
