Anybody ever dealt or bought stuff from MAS RACING PRODUCTS?
I always see there ads but never here anything about there products..Quality or otherwise
I was looking for a spun aluminum tank for the duece p/u bed.Moon wants a fortune for there largest unit and MAS is only 150.00....so is it "buyer beware" or has somebody here got any info.

i think there was a post about this a while back. nobody seemed to have anything negative to say about MAS tanks. i'm definately going that route when it's tank time for the 31.

Do a search on this. Awhile ago this same exact question was asked and if memory serves me right I think alot of people said they were great guys to deal with. I know I bought one of their cheap bucket bodies and was impressed by quality for the price. I bought it to be used as payment for some fab work and thought about getting another for a quick project. Watch out for there catalog when you get it...it's from the 80's and they still have the 80's prices in it. Kinda neat to see how much prices have climbed though....

yeah, they are a local company for us. you'll get what you pay for. their tanks have a really rough brushed finish to them, if you want it to look nice, you'll have to polish it. for a car on a low budget, i think the MAS one would be fine. four-thirteen

I'll be using them in the near future. I've seen there tanks in person, they are a brushed finished, but I didn't think they were rough. They looked good to me. Dean

Hi Brush, The tanks they sell are the same ones you see advertised in a lot of the VW or Dune Buggy magazines, there finish is definately coarse, but for the cash, well worth it. I've ordered a few from them along with some other stuff and never had a problem with MAS.

Here's what you get, these are the smaller ones. http://photo.starblvd.net/~beatnik/3-2-5.jpg

There catalog is completely useless, it's from 1985 or something and totally out dated.

i bought the 14 gallon one- they were great. not the friendliest folks on the phone, but the tank arrived quickly. it would be perfect for you as the tanks is "BRUSHed' finish, not polished like the moon. also, it comes with mounting brackets in the price, which you have to pay extra for with moon, and they actually ship out the product, which from recent past posts, it seems moon don't do so well at

Well the tank I wanna use is the 15 gallon (long job).this will sit in the bed close to the cab and serve as a aux. tank only. The larger tank will be beneath the spun one and be concealed in the bed floor.I may get away with a 15-20 gallon tank in the bed with the spun above serving its duty and looks.
The moon kats want OVER $500 bucks for theirs and MAS wants a $150... ....I can spend that time myself($$$$) at my polishing and buff wheel http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm new to the H.A.M.B.,but I have done business with MAS for several years. Dropped axles, several fuel tanks, disc brake kit. In every instance, products and service was A-1! I appreciate the H.A.M.B. site very much.

That same tank is also available from Speedy Bill in Nebraska. I used one in the Harley Davidson street dragster that we built last year for a customer,

I bought the 3 gallon tank, it is brushed finish but not ugly, it fits the Moon cast brackets perfectly too. It looks fine to me and at about 1/3 the price of Moon.
