after (if) I get my 29 rpu finished,I'd like to hot rod this 28 oakland tudor...it's got a small block and right now it's just fun to drive in the mean time...keeps me sane till the 29's done....does anybody have any photos or info about oaklands?all i know is that pontiac bought them out in the early thirties...never seen anther one in person...been in my family since 1981

Oakland was actually the parent make for Pontiac. In the mid twenties GM divisions brought out companion makes for all their passenger car divisions, trying for an even biger market share. Oakland brought out the Pontiac, Buick the Marquette, Olds-Viking, Cadillac-LaSalle. Pontiac came out in 27 I believe, and by about 1930 outsold and replaced Oakland. Out of the rest, La Salle lasted the longest, actually saving Cadillac through the Depression

i thought there would be alot more than this...how rare is this car?...how about hot rod pontiac pics?

good points, but i think pontiac came out in 26.
