I wanted top smoother and more round than what it is in Minotti body. I am more into that Foose designed 3w coupe. Thanks anyway:) .

The Minotti is a bit "flat". I love your version. I bet Ford's designers would have loved it. You gotta think something similar was probably on the drawing board before Ford scrapped the 3wd body design.

What a shame.

Here's a recent piece that I completed. Not car related, but I'm not really there with my art right now. It's drypoint (a type of intaglio etching, with no chemicals). I use plexi plates instead of copper because they are a good bit cheaper. The only drag is that the plexi degrades rather quickly when put through the etching press so you can't pull too many images from one plate. This was done in an edition of 5. There's more, but I don't have them saved digitally yet. I recently had my first show, so some friends took pics.

http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/4541/p10102561zg.th.jpg (http://img477.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p10102561zg.jpg)

And a shot of a few other pieces from the show. Not sure how these will look.

These are drypoint too, and made from drawings based on photographic history of my grandmother.

About the image sizes...

You obviously have Photoshop (at least it appears that a fella like you would have it). If you do have it - use the "SAVE FOR WEB" feature in the pull down menu. It will let you adjust the image quality and the resolution, but keep the large size. And the best part is that it makes the changes "live" right in front of you - and you can see the image at the size and quality it will appear.

Save it to your desktop as a new file name and upload it to the post (HAMB) or website (photo host - Photobucket, 'er whatever..).

I am sure if you have any other image editor that it has something similar - as these programs are set up to help web designers.

general gow, those are great. I done some printmaking work in college that turned out well. i liked the technique. lino cut prints were my favorite tho.

I'm in the middle of a suite of three prints of Venice done in lino, with chine colle background.

I love the process of carving the lino. And I really like the result of printing dry with oil based ink. You can't do that with etching. The paper really needs to be wet.

I need to find my own press. Studio hours at school are killing me. I have to be out by 8:00, and I can't get anything done.

Etching press on the cheap, anyone?

Brush,

CS2 !!!! Gold Chainer....

I'm rockin' Version 6.0. It's a classic, just like my PC. I might even try to get me one of those CD burners someday - I heard they can put images and music on disk with those thinggies now!!! wowwie!

(Being fecescious of course, but seriously, CS2-must be nice)

Glad I could help. I like that feature because you can see the file size and the image, well hell --> the whole shebang, right on one screen and "live".

It beats the hell out of my old method:
Shrink image -> save -> close out -> go back to folder and highlight image to see file size (damn, still too big) -> open -> shrink image size -> rinse -> repeat....ad nausium.

Anyways - use the slider-bar to quickly adjust the image quality and then adjust the size according to what you need. I am always surprized at how low you can put the quality while maintaining the huge size - and the thing still ooks good!!. I just love Photoshop.

(Just to stroke your ego a bit - I have been jumping back and forth between www.georgetrosley.com and www.jeffnorwell.com at work almost every day for artistic inspiration......so, thanks.)

Here are some pics of a metal sclupture that I've been working on. My very own robot. I call him Capt. Uniball. Don't worry, it's not porn. The lady at the photo shop said that it has to be human to be porn. That's when they kick your pics back, when it's human. The monkey man is strange about those kind of things. Sometimes it's art; sometimes it's porn. :D
The piston is from a UH1 helo. The rod through the head is a piece of a '41 Ford driveshaft. The rods are 59AB flathead. The cam that the legs are made from is an unknown. The flywheel is a Webber that I destroyed with the wrong clutch disc. The other stuff is junk that came out of the bed of the old '51 GMC parts truck that I bought from the junkyard.

A couple of guys this week have asked if the piece I have shown is for sale and if I in fact if I sell any of my stuff. I must say that I am always flattered by fact that people think that my art is worth buying. However for me it is all about the art and not what I can make from it. At this stage in my life my income is derived from my regular job. So I have no need to try and make money from something I love doing, that is my 'art'.
So in a long winded answer, no my stuff isn't for sale. Sorry if that seems a bit selfish! Geoff aka whodaky

Does Pro/Engineer CAD art count? Here's a random valve cover I did a while back when learning the program.

The HAMB Auction Desk Top Art Work car.

All my Desk Top Art Work cars get hand drawn before the model gets built. The last picture is one of the hand drawn pictures. As you can see, the drawn pictures are used in the construction process. They are the actual size the finished product will be. Gene

Sure it counts. Lots of Cad artist on the HAMB. That valve cover is quite realistic.

I don't have anything new, so some reposts of a few I did a while back.

i really like seeing the build stages of cars here on the hamb. i was thinking there are some really great artists here...amazing actually. would any of you artists consider showing the build of your art in stages? i think that would be really cool to see.

First off, Ryzart and Surf Monkey... your frankenstein drawings are AWESOME!

I love frankie, and here are my bits for this halloween show.

The pumpkin I did just last night and the illustrations are all older.

Thanks! I was digging your last couple so I had to join in. The amazing thing is I knocked it out in a day and a half without sticking my hand in wet paintand messing it up.
