.............cold?, naw. When I was leaving Hummelstown, I saw a sign that read 11*. No idea what it was on the way in. I took a few photos. I didn't make it to Terry's shop. My wife decided she wasn't enjoying herself....... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is a shot of a new guy I met, Dustin. Nice guy, cool car. He's "traditional." I've invited him here. Please don't tell him I'm such a bitch........

.........of course, Clark power parked the "Special" right outside the front door. I was standing out there and looked up and saw Ken "Posie" Fenical taking photos of Clark & Dustin's cars. He went back inside and was asking all around for "the owner of #13." I directed him to Clark and he unloaded questions on him. He then took Clark in and showed him HIS project. Pretty cool. Generation gap? "Traditional" vs. Billit? Nope, just two guys that love cars.........

There were a couple finished and a half dozen "projects" inside and a couple nice vehicles parked outside and a constant changing of very cool "visitor" cars all over the neighborhood. Parking was at a premium (except for Clark) in the area, but everywhere you looked, there were neat vehicles. NOTE: Most of the "Street Rodders" were driving late models!!!!!! (...so I didn't feel so bad. Hell, I'm old & fat)

46mopar, Dude your car is sweet. I'm really diggin' it! That has the perfect stance. Mad nasty rake=perfect. I hope someone got a pic of the nice smokey burn-out from when you left the diner. That was clutch! Oh, wait a minute...Spike had the camera. And Spike is gay. Doubt he took a pic of something that cool. Probably depressed that there wasn't anymore man ass to check out. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I had a good time today. Thanks to all for including me. I felt welcome...I felt fuzzy...I feel gay? Shit...now Spike will be following me around...
And that group picture looks like some good material for the next issue of Rod-n-Keister http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Dustin seems like a nice fella, although he must be half nuts for driving that turtle deck in the single digit weather! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ...that is a compliment BTW.
And I felt like a puss for not bringing the ford after seeing those yahoo's riding around without any roofs. mmmmmm, I suck and my head is the shape of a bowling ball...
and Jeff's truck is way bitchin'

Had a great time checkin out the shops. We even went to one of Posies employees personal shop.
Posie is building the stretched 29 pick up that was in Rod and Custom a while back. Ithink a couple of Hambers are doing the same. Here is Posies.

NitroFC put a full size shot of the Model A at Terry's. It may not be to my or most Hamber's taste but the thing looked like pure art in bare metal. The lines on this thing are just gorgous. Here's a detail shot of the cowl area.

As usual I had a great time seeing everyone again. Posies was a tad less crowded than last year. Maybe it was the weather..? Did see alot of guys (and gals..) that I usually don't see until Spring (No pun intended towards Posies Super Slides..). Sold a Box-O-Mags and had to beat down a few that thought they were free hand outs.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Got a chance to chat with Edmurder for the trip there and back. Other than that I had a good time! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The Sedan/PU that Posie is building was the highlight of the shop. It will feature many things that aren't traditional in a traditional manner. That make sense? Its gonna run a Rousche (?) injected small block and has a tube frame, but has a steel body thats chopped 5 3/4" and channeled severely. I'm not afraid to admit that I liked it. For the record, Posie likes the basic stuff too.

Terry's was just down the street and had a great lunch all laid out for everyone. I think it was Sumo that brought doughnuts as a symbolic gesture from Posies shop. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The Rocket powered rod he had there last year was still out at paint (Terry only does fab work. No body. No paint here.) Taking center stage were two very cool cars. Both channeled Both featuring great Hot Rod touches. Can't wait until they're completed. It was all the usual suspects in attendence. Bruce Larson was one of them. I see that guy everywhere. He must think I'm stalking him.

I'll write more later, right now I'm off to the garage.

Looks like fun... I know it had to be cold even for those closed cars without heaters... It was in the low 20's here yesterday morning when I took the wagon for a 400 mile drive to meet Tudor in Augusta GA for lunch.. Thou only one of us had his hot rod.. something about not having enough room in his tudor to fit the extra tranny I bought from him..

You guys are hard core.........

Whew, I finally got a chance to sit down and take a look at the pics. My buddy and I had a great time. I wish I had the chance to meet everybody from the Hamb that was there. I met some new people and got to hang out with a great bunch a hoodlums http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. 46mopar and lulabelle, thanks for letting us follow ya's down. I'd like a ride in that Dodge sometime, wicked that car is. I'll have to soon get on the ball and get my ride done once I get everything straightened out with this house buying. Then I'll have to set up shop. It was great seeing you guy's again. I hope everyone had a safe trip home. later plmczy

Looks like a GREAT time was had by all. You guys that drove topless, heatless hot rods have some big, huge, brass ones, that's for sure. I know it was as cold there as it was here yesterday. I'm getting chills now just thinking about it.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

In those drawings of Posies C-Dan project, you'll see that it has lightening holes in the visor. I think those are the ones I sold on E bay. I'm making a killing selling used lightening holes. Mine look just like his.

It was 1 degree when I rolled from my house at 5am. I'm glad it warmed up to about 15 degrees by the time we got to Posie's. Clark, Dustin & Sumo... you guys need t-shirts that read "I Survived the East Coast Reliability Run".

Okay. We know who belongs to the Poncho. There's 46Mopar behind it. Which one of us is the Party Wagon?

Clark- The ride home was fine. It was beginning to become another looong day for me and the Pontiac this week, so things were quiet on the ride back. Louie (aka LA32) was all talked out and I had just about run out of things to say (if you can imagine that). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The poor guy had to listen to my jazz fusion collection for quite a few miles, sorry Louie. Glad you're still alive, Clark. That was one brutal day.

SkateFink- that last shot of yours shows all 4 HAMB cars and 1 hardcore guest. I think it is also 90% of the cars older than 1980 to be at his "open house".

Once again- a HUGE THANKS to Terry for his "OPEN HOUSE". There was some really neat stuff to ogle over, and real good food to put a dent in. Much appreciated, sir.

I bet Ken will think of the people that drove thier cars out in 1 deg. weather when he's driving that C-Dan project across country. No way a little weather can stop you after seeing that. Clark is a true inspiration for crazy people everywhere.. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry I couldn't make it, but duty called. Regarding that shot of the channeled duece pickup at Terry's shop taken by Nitrofc, that's Jeff from the hambs truck. The truck was found overgrown by weeds in a remote spot of the city dump where it was given to Jeff's brother for free, as was the grille taken from a truck out in Lancaster. I give him credit for actually doing what a lot of us only talk about. Building a rod from scratch using free or junkyard parts. It's not cobbled together, but progressing as time and money progress. Props to my homie.

Thanks to all the Hamber guys who supported our open house and ate the free food. Thanks for the "Posie" doughnuts (what does day old on the box mean?} The 58 Dodge wagon is my wifes car. Would have cleaned it if we had known you were taking pics. In the process of getting it as low as possible. Don't forget to come next year and please introduce yourselves. We will have more old school stuff again cause we like it. Terry & Terrence

Terry, again I wish to extend a sincere "Thank You" to you and your whole team. I enjoyed the warm hospitality )keyword WARM). The grub was above and beyond, and certainly hit the spot. I really dug the sprint car brake setup on the RPU.

You looked pretty busy and everybody wanted a piece of your time at the open house. I will make it a point to introduce myself next time. In fact, should I pass by and see the door open, I'll stop in for 3min.

I don't know why this post is called the Posie's Open House- I thought it was the East Coast MidWinter Reliability Run! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
