aloha HAMB im dan and im into 1940s and 1950s hotrods and customs. i do body and frame restoration for old cars and mechanicical repairs for a living. i have a bunch of projects, but not enough time :eek:AARRRRGHH! im trying to piece together a late 31 model a ford closed cab pick-up, building to fairly strict standards of mid to late 1940s hop up style with all genuine old ford parts and period accessories, hoodless fenderless 4" channel and maybe 6"-8" chop. 39 transmission, 32B 4banger hopped-up, mid 40s juice brakes, 46 axle, its gotta have real strong mechanicals and be a solid reliable daily driver so im taking my time with the chassis, but the cab and bed are a bit rough for a restoration so i spose it will just look
kinda ratty:rolleyes:.
i just returned home to hawaii from fall carlisle swap(woohoo!) and fall hershey meet (darn rain). brought back a whole lotta stuff ,got some amazing deals, and met a bunch of old guys that were really helpful and super super cool. i live in hawaii (4 years) but am from east coast originally- jersey- pennsylvania- florida. having a boatload of fun in the process of building my hotrod, hope i can meet some others doing similar type stuff ~ dan

Welcome! There is a lot of good infomation to be had here.

Kailua? Lucky you!

My wife and I try to visit Hi. every couple of years. Last year we went to Maui, a few years before that we were in Kaui and The Big Island. Very beautiful places!
