As the temps outside are on their way below zero tonight(it was 4 degrees the last time I looked)I decided to come in from the garage and post a few pics of some older cars I have accumulated over the years. Some I've had since I was about 5 or 6(longer ago than I care to remember)and a few have found their way into my hot little grubby claws.Hope you enjoy them.
First pic is of a bunch of old slush mold cars found in my wife's aunts house after she died. She also had a pre-war Lionel train set that has been appraised at over 7K.

This car I got when I was about 4.The top goes up and down and the trunk opens.Found it at my mother's apartment after she passed away.I thought it had been thrown out years ago.

The Caddy's roof comes off to reveal a cigarette case and there is a lighter protruding from the deck.

The last one is kind of unusual in that it is an actual wind tunnel test model from BMW.They were given to dealer principals only at a new model intro in Germany many years ago.I got it from a dealer who was also a model car collector.I had to stripe a car for him to get it.It's made of resin and still has the two holes in the bottom where it mounted in the tunnel.

Awesome.I have some of whatcha got there too.I've been grabbing lil cars like that for my son too.Hes just like his dad,I bring home some of the old car that are dinged and banged up and he has a bunch of new hotwheels. He'd rather play with the old ones.
Thanx for posting the pics.I love all the kewl old stuff.Which reminds me,my toybox is still at my mom and dads and hasn't been opened for at least 25 years.Should be a gold mine in there........Shiny

I've got a bunch of old Altas and Aurora "vibrator" slot cars from when my dad was a kid in the early 60's....
They still fucking haul ass on the straights, but no magnets on the bottom make the turns rather interesting...

Safari finding stuff from your childhood that you thought were gone forever, must have brought back memories. Real special stuff. That wind tunnel model is something very special I reckon, especially for those of us artistically inclined, that is a real piece of functional sculpture

That was a loy made by Hasbro in the 60's called,"Amaze-A-Matic".It had an electric motor and a strip of cardboard with notches in it that you stuck into a groove under the front of the car. When turned on,the car would run a pre-programmed course controlled by the card. There were a bunch of different cards with the car.It was kind of primitive but worked.I still have all the cards and the box.I bought it because it was a wild looking car.
