Ive been lurking, looking and learning for a while now. This place is full of the best information and been giving some great ideas for my 52 Chev
I'm 39 and from New Zealand. married, two kids.
I'm a Sales Rep for a tool company and have a small business I run from home
www.classicmail.co.nz (http://www.classicmail.co.nz)
I found my Chev in a barn 12 months ago and quickly got it on the road with all stock running gear. After the Whangamata Beach Hop I decided it was time for a freshen up, so I decided to go the full Custom route. Dechrome, frenched tailights, Custom grille, lowered as far as I could go etc etc.. Still very much in the construction phase but will be completed for Beach Hop 2004.
We're installing an open driveline diff with a 55 chev box. Motor will have 2 carb offenhauser manifold with headers
here's some pics of my Chev if anyones interested.

Hi,
Thanks for the heads up on the username, Ive changed to Talbot90
My other project car is Brit sh_t. A 1950 Sunbeam Talbot90 Convertible. My parents bought it for their honeymoon in 1962 and toured Europe in it before we emigrated to NZ. When I started the resto about 3 years ago, I traced the chassis number through the Sunbeam club and it has turned out to be a lost Factory race team car used in the Alpine Rallies of the early fifties. Only 1 in NZ and 7 left in existence. Sorry for waffling, just a little background on why I chose my new name.

Hey, nice to have another Kiwi on board. Maybe you can teach the rest of us about saving space in the driveway by parking cars on their side. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
