as requested subframe for floor and body chanel .. if you look in through the door you will see a kinda latice work of flat steel ... What o done was buil a subframe from flat bar stock and 3/4 square tube. I clamped the square tube to the outer edge of each rail, leaving enough of the tube abopve the rail for the bar stock to lay flat on top of the chassis... I then set the body to the height i thought was correct then welded stringers fron the sub frame to the body.. one each at the B pillar and one each at the rear body join .. hope you can follow that ...

that rear trim piece is from a 53 olds front bumper, flipped over.. it tidies up the underside kinda like a roll pan.. If i could get lights to fit in the oval ends I think that would be kinda cool ... open to sugestion...

I think that would look kool, would you mold it in with the body? Nobody has every done that and i think its kool! you could even have you exhaust come out thru there if you couldnt find lights for it, if you wanted to put lights in it you could use plexiglass and put a light behind it if you cant find lights to go in there! Ahhhhh, the old 53 Olds Grille Trick! Now the price will really go up on e-bay now that there's 2 of them! I even have one from a '54 to peddle. I cut out the ovals and ran the exhaust thru mine on the spacetruck.

Well, you may be first on a model A! I was actually saving the other one I have to put on a Model A Roadster or sedan. As you know, the dimensions work really well with an early model car, everything just seems to roll together!

My "bed" is a 60 Buick rear narrowed 26" with the olds grille as the roll pan. The bottom sides of the bed below the body line is actually the roof from the buick cut in half and stuck on either side. Much like your door skin, the contours just seemed to work.

LOVE IT!! i would just make plexiglass lenses and run lights in that sweet roll pan ya got there. i think it'd look cool left chrome too. nice contrast to the car but it might also look cool molded in and paint. keep us posted, it's inspiring!!

Im kickin myself now .. about 3 months ago i got offered some quad front lamps in there own ali housings with actual base mounts .. They were off a Peterbuilt truck so i was told ... now i see this thing comming together i know I shooda bought them... Re the tail pan .. I dont want it to be overkill but I had a notion to fit caddy bullet lights in the rear ovals ???
