Thanks Rocky... you are a RULER

I sealed the deal and started to sell my assets to buy rockys running 331 hemi w/the offy adapter and lasalle tranny. He raked me good but its worth it in the end...

I was going to go with the hot heads adapter... but after seeing rockys "TRAD" setup I tried to see if he would seperate it. NOPE. He forced me into takeing drugs before calling him and saying yes ill buy it haha http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif the whole package... please sign here.

Seriously rocky thanks!
This motor is going in my roadster THIS SUMMER!!!!

It wasnt like a conversation with Paso over KILOs of metalflake... but damn near as cool.

So I bought his hemi and sold mine... now I can't sleep I keep thinking about it.

To make things worse rocky up and sent me pics...

I swear to god if it werent for the hamb I would be lost... living in the days of DARE TO BE DIFFERENT with my nose stuck in a HOT ROD magazine cutting out the cool magoo rods... haha

Happens to me all the time. Some of my best ideas come to me after midnight. Back when I was doing collision, sometimes I'd have a car on the frame rack that I was fighting to get right, and I'd wake up suddenly in the middle of the night...it would be perfectly clear what the problem was. Every time, I'd go to work, make the pull, and it would be done. Man I'm fuckin weird http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

If you have the room, bring it down to the Round UP.......I'm planning for that trip as we speak......if that doesn't work..I need to make a midwest journey this spring.....so we'll stay in touch on that deal...Neal

OH MY GOD! welcome to my fucking life. i will lay in bed and i just can NOT turn my brain off. i will just go over ideas in my head but not just one thing, i can be building several things in my head at once. usually cars but often other things too, like houses, dream shops, a shed. anything that can be built, if i have the idea i will go over EVERY detail of it in my head. and people wonder why i have so many projects going at once and how i do it. the damned ideas keep coming faster than i can make then reality, MUCH faster. my friend Denny has teh same problem but he says he can only concentrate on one project at a time (in his head or otherwise) but me, i can switch gears in a second and then back again the next. thats what happens when i try to put something out of my head so i can sleep, another idea will creep in. it's been bad the past couple weeks. i've gotten only 2 half way decent nights sleep in 2 1/2 weeks and i had to use drugs (pain killers) to get those. even then it takes more than an hour to get to sleep and it's reallight sleep at that. by the time i start to get into any kind of restful sleep it is time to get up. and my wife wonders how i can sleep all day. by the time i get to sleep i don't want to wake up cause i have'nt had enough. sometimes i'll sleep all day but really it's only the day that i've slept cause i was up all night staring at my eyelids and building things in my head.

the up side is that usually when i get to actually building something that i have gone over (and over and over) in my head i have worked out many if not all of the flaws it it tends to go quite well. not always but often.

ok, now that i have that of my chest i will go back and actually read what this post is pertaining to. the title described me to a "T" so i had to vent.....

Kind of funny. Not 10 minutes ago I walked in the door grinning from ear to ear, went in and told my sleeping girl that I couldn't sleep as I was to excited. Had a GREAT night at the shop playing with my toys, drove my new car (daily) on the freeway for the first time back to the city grinning form ear to ear and went over to a friends place to pu my newly arrived package. Yep George Poteet donated a MINT set of door latches, arms etc to my 34 pu project. He is the MAN. I am excited as that was a biggie on my list of hard to finds. Also picked up my suicide perch (speedway) parts up with the stuff that had arrived to my friends place. Can't wait until tommorow when my father and I go out and see my in progress chassis.

I'm also excited that I have a brand new Rolls & pleats out in the car and that I get to FINALLY bring my BEAUTIFUL AV8 home on the weekend and lastly I'm excited that when I finally do say goodnight to the HAMB that I have a beautiful woman sleeping in my bed...

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just got my "A" chassis stripped down for my 27T today, I have a feeling there won't be much sleep for me tonight. Tomorrow, it's time to start hacking off brackets! I'm as giddy as a school girl.

Oh yeah, the hemi is awesome. I am getting a rebuilt SBC in a trade with a friend, so I'm going to use that. I hope no one laughs at me.

I know what you mean tuck..i have spent a few night here up thinking about every detail as i fall asleep, i swear i have thought about the back window of my car and all the floor, and the doors, the windows, the dash, the interior, wishing to hell that i could draw, scheming on how to get something done for it being so far away, on top of everything ELSE.....

I can't sleep at night thinking about all the money I have spent on the POS, so I read car mags, HAMB classifieds, E-bay to try to sleep and just end up spending more moola!

Yeah, you're right, I turned 56 last weekend and still get just as excited about projects as I did when I was 15 and building my first.

You know what Tuck.. I've been staying late and coming in early at work all week, so sleep is at a premium. Anyway, first this bugger Rocky tries to sell me some parts for my coupe and then Don Haring Jr tries to sell me an old Falcon van.

Guess what??

Couldn't sleep.

Thinking thinking thinking.

Plotting planning building things in my head. Taking them apart and building them again differently. Maybe it'll go together better this time. Maybe I'll think of something I didn't think of last time.

Thinking thinking thinking.

I usually just get up and grab a peice of paper because I think better on paper.

Tonight I think it's going to be work working on my brain. We're prototype testing a gearbox that I designed (the one pictured in my avatar) and it just seized up. I have to wait until tomorrow morning to tear it down. Maybe it overheated because the oil pumped out the breather vent. Maybe the oil pumped out the breather vent because it overheated. Maybe it overheated because we accidentaly oversized one of the bearing bores. Maybe the oil wasn't draining from the bearing cover. Maybe maybe maybe.

Point is, I wont be sleeping tonight.

For the first week after I brought on the Sedan body I was so jacked I could not think of hardly anything else. Spent hours looking thru the HAMB, DRD's site and my mags and pics looking for ideas and trying to put a plan together.

WIdeglide, I really dig your ride, it looks cherry.. What is your plan for it..
