I'm looking at chopping my truck. Could a photo shop guru please "chop" it for me? Maybe 6", and how about some primer. Or how about 6" chop in front and 9" chop in the back. Thanks.

Man I could do this all day. I really need to buy photo shop. How about some dark blue suede paint? I like the skirts, and the heavy chop. My goal is to try to build a sled/tail dragger out of the truck. Anyone got any ideas on how to accomplish this. Thanks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif You guys are amazing. I love photo shop.

If ya keep that up the tires are gonna be taller than the roof. I thought about a section but that's alot of work. As if a chop isn't. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's my take on it...a little clown car tech in the way of shortening AND chopping it! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What would it look like with a chop and a pancaked roof and dark green primer? I like 62's version best so far I might have to create that one. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think you want the crown in the roof.
I did lighten up the window surrounds a little.

01-07-2004, 09:41 PM
I like the idea of changing the rear wheelwells to make it look like skirts. Hey Chaco I'll get right on it. Though I've never done a chop before. I'm always ready to try something new. Maybe we'll have a H.A.M.B chopping party. Everybody bring your sawzall's. LOL http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think you kinda have to shorten it a little to keep the proportions right with da chop...
...but I also dig "shorties"!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Taildragger. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Hopefully soon I'll be joining you guys in photo shopn other HAMB'rs cars.

How many different color variations does photo shop have? Are you limited at all?
Mai Ki-Ki
01-07-2004, 11:33 PM
You can do ANYTHING in photoshop, it just takes a long time to do big color changes and the like....some things are piss easy...

Man I can't wait to get photo shop. Then I won't have to bother all you guys. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Photo shop is pretty cool, I like the fact that you can modify a car and look at it to find out if it would look good before you start cutting. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I noticed nobody has done a version with a 6" chop in front and 9" in the back. Is that hard to do with photo shop? Just curious. I think it might look good. How long did it take you guys to learn PhotoShop? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

macs55
01-08-2004, 12:16 AM
Nah I think it needs to be lower. I want the rear window on the ground. LOL. Yeah I think it's low enough. I just bought some bags for the rear. Can't wait to get them on and lay the rear pan on the pavement. Thanks. You guys are bad. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All I can say Monster is hell yes!! I love that one. Although my wife says I should keep the front of the roof higher and not so chopped in the front only. Can you do the same truck just not so chopped in the front but the rest the same? Thanks. I think she is wrong but lets see. Thanks again.

yea man, you can use any of anyones work on here, thats why we do it!
we do it for fun of course, but we also do it to help you visualize your dreams or desires, so feel free man! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
as far as the first one or second, i think both look cool. its just up to you on what look youre going for. if you want the rear to look heavy and draggin, i think id put a bumper on the back and lose the front. it would give the illusion that the back is a bit heavier i would think. what do you think?
and thanks again for all the kind compliments to all! everyones ideas are cool http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Cool thanks Monster. The look that I want is taildragger/sled kustom. I think that one you did captures it perfectly. I like the idea of a bumper in the rear. I like the heavy chop better cause, to me, it kinda looks like a merc. My wife said that if I chop it like that one then she's gonna paint her mustang hot pink. LOL I guess there will be a pink car hiding under a cover in our driveway. Thanks again. I just wanted to makesure it was cool with you before I went ahead and did it. Thanks for all your work with it. You got some cool ideas man.

Hey Monster do ya mind doing another pic with the same truck only without a chop. Same paint, stance, etc. Just curious how it would look. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

01-08-2004, 08:15 PM
sure! here you go, I think this looks just as cool, and would save you a lot of work if you choose to not chop.
like I said earlier, feel free to use any idea youd like to use as a reference. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Cool thanks man. I think I'll leave it like that for a while till I can save some money for a chop. I don't know how to do a chop, atleast not now. Anyone feel like chopping this for me? Let me know how much $$$$. I think a shop would charge a lot.

I think these take a chop well if the front is chopped more than the back. Rake the roof enough so the top and bottom edges of your side glass are parallel.

Chopping is for sissies. Now raising, that's for manly men. The look in '04 is garbage truck. I only had a couple of minutes before I leave for the SF show but check this out. Mag cover material all the way. It's gonna need a visor and some 70's van wheels but you get the idea. http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/sp/speedgeeks/poop.jpg
