i took my block to the machine shop and i need .080 oversized pistons. i've been searching on the internet and have come across a couple of .080's but were listed for fords. i have a 1946 mercury 100hp V8 flathead, 59AB, and was wondering if the make of the pistons mattered, could i use the ford pistons in the mercury engine? thanks for your time.

If you are using a 3 3/4" crank, the Ford pistons will work.
If it's a 4" crank, you need Merc pistons.
The location of the wrist pin is different.
