My boss Gene is a bad/good influence on me. When I first started this car I was just going to slam it together and have fun, kinda like Rocky did or Eyeballs T. Well, I just cant do that. I want this car to be with me for years to come so today, I peeled all the panels off the subrails. This will allow me to work on one panel at a time and get to all the odd areas by removing the inner bracing. It also allows you to prime all the inner structure. Gene usually uses plain ol Black Laquer, I am going to use some ZeroRust I got from 286Merc. Idid not take any pics today but I will do photo updates as it progresses.
As I tore into this thing, I am glad I am doing this. There was enough flaky cancer in the 1/4 subrail area to really pose a problem in a couple short years. Like my boss says, this is the best way to rebuild old T and A bodies.
I also got the cowl vent filled, that is a story I dont think I will tell before a couple beers.
