Saturday with friends, beer and some One Shot..

Saturday in Charlestons means hanging out with friends in the shop messing with cars and doing what we call 'Hot Rod Lunch'.. everyone drives their hotrods down to the local Subway to get a bite to eat and shooting the shit with everyone going back to the local shop and messing with what every project is in the garage..

Well this saturday was shitty with lots of rain and not much going on in the shop. After the usual lunch FlamedAbone decided he wanted to pratice laying some striping.. using my wagon as the practice surface here is what he ended up with (only the second car he has attempted this on)... We still think it needs another something more on the hood (I think some black lines would help).. but I want to show what he got done and ask for some ideas on what could be added (there is a little to much open space around the emblem holes)... So any ideas throw them at us...

Looks damn fine to me! Hard to believe it's only his second car to work on! Here's my 2 cents worth...if he wants to add another color like black, maybe think about just putting it around the white striping...not through it or over it. Know what I'm saying? Just use the second color to fill in some of the negative spaces and kinda "frame off" the white stuff. i really like the fender tops, front and rear, but then i've always preferred - shall we say - restrained striping...

not sure how to improve the bonnet (hood, whatever...), because it's a bit too big for my liking already.

your striping skills are really good though ABone, symmetry is great!
