new old stock,

like stock GM numbers?

Not that I can help but,

"NOS" and a string of numbers isn't a lot to go by.

They're all New Old Stock parts from GM that i got out of an old closed shop. I'm hoping one of the old timers on here has some old GM parts books and can help me look these up. Most of them have what they are and a part #. The sooner I can identify what they are, the sooner I can help a hamber out with a new part that you can't get anymore...

There should be a group # in front of the part #. With that
I might be able to help.

My parts book has a numerical index. Unfortunately it is 1951 and older. These must be 50's - 60's parts as most of the numbers I checked in mine aren't there. Anyone with a pre 70 book? Nutz

I tried most of the sites online. No luck. I'll look on the boxes again this evening and see if I missed something number wise.

Thanks man. I tried some of the online places and had no luck. Hell the one place wanted $5 a part number to look them up...
I'm thinking a part or 2 will go for a HAMB auction.

I have a Chevrolet parts book 1933-1960 and did a quick check on several of those #'s.Judging from that I would say they are probably mid to late 60's but what I can't say.

Damn, I guess I did good. I still have more to inventory. These were just the easy ones to get to... Thanks a bunch. At this rate I may be able to finish my Buick before easter. I think the bumpers are gonna be the hardest to figure out. I really don't want to pull the protective rubber off of them to ID them, and I didn't see any numbers, But I need to look again. I sold a set of bumpers already to a HAMBer. a pair of NOS or rechromed 38 Chevy Bumpers (Great chrome) for less than he could even get one of his old ones ready for plating.

I have a bunch of new old stock parts from a closed auto parts store too. I have found while reseaching the numbers on the net, that most everything is listed by application, not by numbers. Sometimes you get lucky, but most times nothing. Any ideas on were to research part numbers without an application?
