Says he has 2 sets, short and long. If they both have that same rear cast end, the long is 37-40 and the short is 46-48. (Not sure what 42-45 looked like)

I'm guessing the same thing 46-48....

I have some from a '48. They look just like that. What have you picked up for the project so far?

Well, I thought I had a flathead, but the guy welched on the deal...I waited too long to give him the money. (A nice 8BA that looked rebuilt with all the original fixins on it) I got some spindles/rear banjo and axels from my brother need one rear hub for a 37. some spring perches. A steering box and front shock mounts lined up. Doesn't sound like much. I'm starting to realize how hard it is to find good reasonably priced parts.

Good parts will turn up. I've been able to wait out some good deals and had some help from a few incredibly generous people....I've been taken on a couple deals too. I may have a good hub for you...I'll have to check. Long story is I am saving a set of wide fives for a future project and I have this extra hub. But I seem to remember an interference problem with the wheel cylinder on the later rear end so maybe it's a '36. I'll check but no promises yet. I'm already way behind mailing out some door parts I gave to a HAMBer.

The 37's are 5 on 5 1/2 I think?

Oh...nope. I think I remember what you were trying to do now. '37s will be the WIDE five. Real wide - like 5 on 10 1/2 or something. I don't think I can help you there. You'll be wanting 40-48 stuff for that bolt pattern - and I haven't got it. Hmmm...you have a couple of decent (37) rear hubs/drums on the 37 rear end though?

Missing one hub, have both drums, not sure it's my brother. matt

Hmmm...on 36-39 the hub IS the drum. One piece. Unless it came from a virgin car it's hard to tell exactly what you have. But this stuff is out in CA with Sam - is that what I read? Get a photo or when you get the stuff in your mits take inventory. Just trying to figure out what you have exactly and what might be missing or readily adaptable. I've torn into a couple of these in the basement and I have a few bits of misc. hardware left over.
