Just want to introduce myself. I've only recently heard of the HAMB. I have been looking for a rod over the past year and in the process, talked with acouple HAMBers, (Dennis Smiley and Dan Fitzgerald) who had nothin but good to say about the group. Awesome guys to deal with and just plain good folks. Said if you like traditional, it is the place to be. Always liked old cars and trucks. Dad always had something. The one I remember most was his 38 Chevy Coupe. A little about what I've had: I've owned a 50' F3 Ford Pickup. Rebuilt the Flathead. Traded for a Zipper Lakes modified project that I was goin to run with a blown flathead. Ran out of money and traded the project for a 38' Chevy Pickup. Sold the 38 and am looking for the right 23' T. Old school traditional would be the one! I'm just about 40, have three kids under 8 that love anything with wheels that doesn't look cookie cutter. Unfortunately, my wife is not a big rodder but I think I can convince her join the dark side .

Thanks,

Mark C.

Welcome from Aurora, IL - 40 miles west of Chicago.

Lots of good folks here and the knowledge they have is staggering. Don't let a little newbie razzing get to ya. We all go through it. If you have a tech question, try a search first. Often times you can find what you're looking for. If you can't then post the question - someone on here will know the answer.

Have fun and we all love pictures of projects!!
