Put my new parts chaser to use and took advantage of the fantastic weather we are having. Pulled the frame out of the A and stripped it so I can get it to the house and start working on it this winter. Pic one. Coaxing the body off the frame. A little hard to do by yourself.

Let's see. I've had the worst flu of my life for the whole week. But today, I took my Flathead T-Bucket for a ride. Never to sick to do that. Baby's Mama won't like that!

Yesterday(friday) and today I hauled in 3 80's cutlass's and a monte carlo after I stripped the bodies and front suspensions for spare stockcar parts. Their paying $60 a ton up here so I loaded all the crap I had around here inside the cars and I got almost $400 for all 4. Going to pick another one up tommorrow to take in monday. Next week I might go and get those 2 58 buick special 4 doors I'm looking at. I'll let you guys know what is good on them after I take the engines and brake drums off. Being laidoff sucks but I get alot done.Mike

Looks like you're off and running GV - Well Done! Your bare frame reminds me of when I started mine (close to three years ago now!). We had our first snowfall and a rapid temp. drop last nite which scotched my plan to roll my "A" outside and take some pics with the new digicam that Santa brought us. All I did was air up the "going flat" left rear - RATS! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif Have fun on your build-up! and Happy New Year! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Regards, Dave.

Got the Steering Column, Steering Wheel and the Dash Center for the 52 Chev Vert painted. Got the column assembled and the levers installed, made a new bracket for the speaker and laid out the position on the dash for the switches. The brake pedal is from a Monte Carlo and the parking brake from a Cutlass Supreme. Got the gas pedal from Achinback Foundries up in the great white north, thanks Gord. Love it when a good plan comes together. BTW when ya got a hang belly like mine, a tilt wheel is necessity.

Been working on rebuilding the rear seat in the wagon so I can get it down to the interior shop. It uses a 3/4 inch plywood as the base and back.. Cleaned and retapped all the hardware and started cutting new wood. Got to get the router going to tomorrow to make the coves for the hardware...

Dropped the motor in the "new" '46 Ford coupe. Still have stuff to hook up but at least it's in and buttoned up to the tranny. Making minor changes and adjustments to the car. It's all experimentation at this point.
Mr42, I'm diggin' the dash. I'd like to see/hear more.

I cut up a junk car for parts and then totally gutted the shop and started trying to make it look respectable.
