Hi My name is Duane. I always have been a 56 57 guy, small block Chevy. My son and I have always wanted to do a 1930 model A traditional hot rod. I know zippo about V-8 flatheads and traditional hot rods except what I have read in Vern Tardels book. I look forward to talking to all of you who can help me out. I apologize for not introducing myself before I put up my first post today.

Welcome to the dark side....
Welcome to the HAMB!
I think you might want to pick up a book specifically about the engines, maybe one of these (http://www.motorbooks.com/Store/Product_Search.aspx?Q=Ford%20flathead) to learn the basics and then come back with specific questions to ask the many HAMB flathead "nuts".
Mike Bishop, who co-wrote the Bishop/Tardel How to build a traditional Ford hotrod book is on the HAMB.
He's AV8.
He's been known to polish a flathead part or two, along with polishing off some damn good books.
