so, i am rebuilding my carburetor (again) and this time around, i have no shop to use the parts cleaner in. this is fine, except i can't find bulk carb cleaner ANYWHERE - only the chintzy aerosol cans that have like ten ounces in them and are no good for dipping anyway. so, does anyone know where i can get about a gallon of carb cleaner, or, failing that, a decent substitute for it? i have found laquer thinner and acetone all over the place - will this work, or does it leave a residue? oh, the carb is an edelbrock performer, aluminum body. thanks!
