You've probably all seen the post about what happend to my Vic. in shipping. For those who haven't, my just out of the paint booth car got the hood, front passenger fender, door, and a bunch of molding trashed by a careless truck driver and a fly around tie down.

I desperately need referals to reputable and good paint shops around the Seattle area. I'll even drive to Portland if need be.

I am not sure of the name but, it's on Alaska between Fauntleroy and 35th.

Modern Collision Rebuild on Bainbridge. They build street rods and customs on the side, and have done some beautiful work. My wife's car was done there, and its real nice.

I would avoid r&j kustoms in buckley. Sorry jkustom.... my uncle had his truck painted there... they left runs in the paint... definately not worth the money he paid them. Maybe others have had good experiences with them but ours wasn't all that hot.

Really? that sucks. But Ive seen a few cars rich there painted and they came out lookin pretty F'n good. In fact he had a car on the cover of "street&custom rodding" (a custom rodder spinoff) not too long ago... -J.

Byers I think is the guys name in Auburn, next door to where
the old Hot Rod Enterprises was.

I never used them but they do a lot of hotrods and customs
there. I have seen their shop and their work is top notch.

Hey Shiny. No worries for any PNW guys on the transporter company. They are an operation called Allegheny Trucking Services out of podunk NY. Pretty small (50 trucks).

jkustom & 60's Style: Drove over to the west Seattle shop(s). There are two right on top of each other.

One on corner is Knock out. Next one is Quality auto rebuild. Literally 1 foor away from each other.

Any idea which does the good work?

talk about top notch work for top dollar Hot Rod Enterprises produces some truly beautiful work!

No I'm not John, I only worked there for 3 months after I had left a long stint with a local wood stove company, and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do....

I worked with Craig and Dale, great, tallented guys......

Craig has opened his own shop, I'm not sure what Dale is doing now........
