Ive been lurking unregistered here for a while now...and figured id join the forums.
Cars i have owned, and sold are 1927 Model t tudor sedan, and 1953 Ford Mainline.
My current project isnt too 'traditional', more muscle car era, but its a 63 ford fairlane 4 door, 9 passenger wagon that will run low 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile here in colorado. After i get my speed fix, ill start another project...The wagon is basically practice...for my welding, chasis work, and body work before i build my next....
I have plans, and easy access to many projects for the next few years, all i need is money..
Well..

Im 35 miles from Bandimere, up in Clear Creek County...Ive been out to bandimere too much recently, even though too much is never enough. I raced this weekend, and about 15 other times this year.
This weekend they had flathead/inline classes running with everyone else...Saturday..Tons of old slingshots, some altereds, A/F A/X, I loved it. If youve ever been to Bandimere, youve probabally seen my friends 31 Ford Coupe, blown, chopped, channeled, no-shine purple running between 10.94 and 11.3?
Nice to see someone soo damn close right off the bat...

There are a few others on here from Colorado, Johnnyb327 (I think that's it...), 40Studeddude, Tomslik, ICHOPTOP, they're all Coloradon's (Sp???)...

Hmmm, your old Mainline wouldnt happen to be black w/red wheels and a 302 would it?
A big old wagooon running low 12's at 5800 feet? What are you running for a motor?

Hows the mainline treating you????
Ill be running a basically stock FE motor next year...then in 07 ill be running a built to the balls FE motor...I want to stay away from all power adders, and run it all motor. I also think the ford FE motor is a somewhat Traditional motor...
Hopefully i will NOT have to substitute any fiberglass for sheetmetal...or whatnot...
My friend has a 53 purple ford truck that runs 13's with an FE motor a little less built than im planning mine to be...and the wagon should be slightly lighter than his truck...so 12's at Bandimere shouldnt be out of the question...
Plus, its a damn wagon...so anything 14 sec or less will make me happy, but 12's is my goal.
Sean, got that tranny problem figured out yet?? Get the poppers installed? Update me on the Mainline..I wanna know how its going...
