I lost a very close friend and fellow rodder this weekend. Denny Sulpizio died of a heart attack on sunday night at the age of 58. He's the guy who introduced me to rodding, taught me alot, and even painted my car. Some of you from the northwest and B.C. may recognize his car. He built it in the mid 80's and has driven it everywhere ever since. Denny's '34: http://photo.starblvd.net/~wayfarer/2-1-1.jpg

Man, I feel for you. I just lost a friend of mine a couple weeks ago, Its real hard. Keep your head high, remember the good times, and above all, everything he taught you, keep it all alive and teach it to someones else. That way its like there is a little bit of him everywhere, you know? -J

It is never nice losing a friend, at this time of year it is probably even worse. Not a religous type here, but I do believe that those we have lost are somewhere out there looking over us! take it easy mate

Sorry for your loss. Looking at the picture of his ride makes me realize that everything we do in life leaves a lasting mark. He painted your car and left his mark upon you with his friendship and craftmanship and his ride remains a testimate to who he was. I hope that when its my time I'm am able to do as much. Peace and prayers to you and the family.

its always tough.. He passed on the passion of cars to you. maybe you could try and pass it on to someone younger (if you are not already). When its time for you to leave, someone will be saying the same thing for you....

Thanks guys. The worst part is we'd just started building a car for/with his 15 year old son. He says he doesn't know if he can ever go back out in the shop. Eventually he will and we'll get his car done as a testiment to what his dad would have wanted.

My heartfelt condolences to his friends and family. The rodding community here went through a loss of one of our own a few weeks ago. The support on this board meant a lot to us at that time. Sharing the loss with people who understand helps a bunch. Maybe these old boys will get the garage up there ready for the rest of us when it's our turn.

That's tough, and especially at this time of the year. It was just short of a year ago that we lost one of our most well know rodders here in the northeast and I still get choked up when I look up and see the picture of # 1034.
Remember the good times and get some of your friends to help his son on his car. It will be good therapy for all of you.

Just thought I'd let you know we had the funeral today. Sent him out in style, with a flamed casket and a big party in a guy's shop. At least we have the cars he built and painted as a legacy.

......sorry for your loss, but what a lucky guy he was. Nice ride, good friends, well remembered and a quick exit. After seeing my step-Dad linger and suffer through prostrate cancer last year, that's how I want to go....FAST! It's a shock to those that remain, but we're all going one of these days.
Hang on to the good memories and know that your buddy will always be in your heart!
