What's up? Here's my waste of space (to those who will see it that way).
My name is Bret. I'm new on the HAMB, but I've been diggin' on the site for a while. I wasn't even going to bother with an intro, but saw some good points on the question and suggestion portion of the site so I decided WTF.
My daily driver is a chopped '63 Chevy II ( I don't like calling it a Nova because it brings to mind a "street machine", which mine isn't). I've had it since '95 and did the mods myself, though I had help with the top as it was my second chop. I was working at Concepts Rods and Customs at the time where I worked for 4 years. I sent some pics to Ryan, if they show up, you'll see what I mean by saying it's not a street machine http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I also started a club in my town, affecionately called Hellsinore, CA, in '98 called Scrapers. It is a very small deal, but we are very serious about our rides and trying to get the cats out here that are down with hangin out and helping with each other's cars together.
I probably won't be a big poster here, but where I feel like I can help in some way, I will try to offer what I know. It may not be much, but it may help someone out. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Later. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm runnin' a .030 over 194 that is stock except for Clifford 3-1 headers (everyone's afraid to split a manifold anymore!) and a hotter ignition. It's backed by a good ole powerglide. Between that and 3.08 gears, it's alot louder than it is fast http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Welcome and good job on the intro. I always dug the Chevy II. I can't call it a Nova either, they're just damn cool.

Scrape...good job on the intro...I for one, appreciate the info within...and NOT a waste of space.

Friend here in Denver built a chopped Deuce (Chevy ll--was a '64 I think), two-door and did some other mild kustom stuff to it...he too, insisted it wasn't a street machine...but a year or so ago he'd had enuff of the Denver traffic/clusterfuck and moved to Nebraska...haven't seen him or his car since.

Anyway, welcome to The House of HAMB...

Good intro straight forward and not alot of BS/attitude. Not that that's a bad thing.
If you're buildin' ya got somethin' to add. I'll watch for your posts.
Welcome
