I know it's possible, 'cause I've seen something like it on other boards/groups I belong to, just not sure if the format the HAMB was built on will accept something like this...
LIMITERS are set into the program to limit the "bots" applying to a site, and actually "look" at the information sent by "member" to see if it is legitimate info to be used by site. In other words... a limiter would give a newbie with no posts a "WARNING" when they tried to post like-
PLEASE POST AN INTRODUCTION IN THE APPROPRIATE SECTION OF THIS MESSAGE BOARD, THEN YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO POST IN OTHER AREAS.
Then one setup in the classifieds to read-
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST HAVE POSTED 100 ENTRIES TO BE ALLOWED TO POST IN THE CLASSIFIED SECTION... PLEASE COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REQUIRED POSTS.
Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say? I run into these all the time, and they work well. I'm just tired of all the spammers, and I know Ryan, Rocky and Rashy all have better things to do than try and filter all this crap. This might not be compatable with whatever design program was used for the HAMB board, but it would be worth looking into.
I posted this in the "general" section too, just wanted to touch all bases.
