Happy birthday..., Miller High Life...!

Many of us in Wisconsin have had relation that worked for the Breweries in and around Milwaukee and my Uncle Arnold was a commercial artist..., and hand painted the "Miller High Life" buses and trucks in the 1950's!

I would see several vehicles parked in his drive each day and would watch him chalk out an outline and then paint each vehicle "freehand"...! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif He has painted the "Miller High Life" Girls on a "Half Moon" on the side of buildings and on Vintage Aircraft!

Milwaukee was the home for many other Breweries in the area like; Pabst, Schlitz, Gettleman, Blatz, and Old Milwaukee! It was very common to see an old Chevy or Ford Pick-up with one of these names painted on the doors! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Heres a picture of my uncles work on a Miller bus 1955...!

He painted Police cars, Fire Engines, Race cars, and a couple of "Custom's" as well...! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Anybody else have brewery car and truck photo's...? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I always wonder what happened to some of those great old promo vehicles. Here's a good one from Canadia that's back on the road:

My grandfather was one of the founders of REMKE truck bodies from 57-78, I have some of his old pictures from beverage distributor conventions, I'll scan them and post them soon.
