Hi All,
I have been lurking for a while, but have finally joined as a way to kick start myself on finishing my 49 dodge pickup truck. It is starting to look good, and I hope to make some progress with it this winter.
I will post some photos as soon as I get some scanned.
The dodge has a 350ci SBC that was bored .030 over and built with a fairly agressive comp cam. It has a TH350 tranny and a 12 bolt posi chev rear end. The top has been chopped 4.5 inches in the front and 3.5 inches in the rear. The interior is 20+ year old mohair bench seat. I cut the mount brackets off it and mounted the seat straight to the floor. I am in the process of welding the top back on now. I plan on running a black base coat with glossy white into green scallops.
I have no fancy parts, and I am trying to keep within the theme of an old skool work truck. I have been looking for old magazines and books to try to keep with the theme of the times. Any input is appreciated.
