I thought it looked kinda like the very rare & highly desireable variable compression ratio heads where you bolted on a different combustion chamber to suit your needs that day...

Looks like a good use for a wrecked head. Just make it into a torque plate. I don't think I'd run one as decoration though.

Very true.
Although, I can assure you of a couple of things.
The head was too far gone to use as anything other than a wall-hanger.
He would not cut up a good head - period.
The owner of the novel front bumper guard is a bit of a character, but not lame, not at all.
He's a retired front engine fuel driver and is looking to get back in the game, but a sponsor is needed.
He is more than interesting to talk to and is still involved in hot rods.
In fact, building two - maybe three - at once.
55 Chevy post with blown small block out of his own engine shop.
23 or so T roadster with flathead - you've seen a few pics of the under-construction T here on the HAMB.
And he's looking for bits and pieces for his Ardun powered full fendered 32 roadster - which is not for sale.
The guy is a walking encyclopedia of hot rod history, more so the fueler wars than street cars, but he's done a bit of street running as well.
And maybe I shouldn't have posted the pic of the holey Edelbrock, but I got a kick out of it so there you are....

At first, when I saw the pic, I thought they made a pushbar out of it, to push-start a dry lake racecar or dragster....
