Does anybody in HAMB-land know if these inner beauty rings are available anywhere?
Does anyone reproduce them, or do i have to make my own?
thanks-
HC

Got one, that's a start. It's inreal good shape, stainless
so it should polish up real nice.
Let me know if you're interested.

I think he's talking about the ones in the center of the wheel.....as far as I know they are not repoped...they show up on ebay sometimes. The outer ring looks like a '50 ford trim ring...I think they are available new.

There's a dude running a set of those around here.

He says they are original Cal Custom.

I believe him.

Good luck finding some.

If you figure out how to make them you should be pretty popular in a short period of time.

I'll take two sets.

other than ebay, i never see 'em for sale. I was lookin for just ONE for a long time. When they show up, they go for some bucks (more than my cheap ass will pay for 'em, anyway).
Anyone have exact dimensions of 'em by any chance? or one they'll let me borrow for a week? im actually interested in making some... if there's enough interest, and i wouldnt completely eat it (like on most jobs), wouldnt mind knockin out a few sets every once in a while.

I was just going to say what Tim said..
The smoothies look likw they already have that rim ring on them so just mask off around it and "Kandy Krome" the rest of the center.

I know that guy Hank. Those are chrome smoothies and he masked off the inner and outer ring and painted the rest. The first year he was at the Sherman/Dennison show his rims were all the buzz. He wouldn't tell any one his secret. Our car club gave him an award so he let a few of us in on the secret.

I think you're talking about trim rings like these. I found'm at the LA Roadster Show swap meet. The spider caps and the ring on the right were a package deal. I later found the spinner caps on ebay. I'm trying to decide which ones I like better for my Falcon Wagon project. Here's the whole story (http://www.myrideisme.com/Blog/cal-custom-spider-caps-for-my-falcon-wagon/).

What the heck are these rings called?

Roll tubing to the diameter you want, weld it up, slice in half, polish & chrome and you're good to go - just gotta figure how to mount them:D

Spider cap rings? They should have a better name than that! Good to know there's another source.
Anyone ever heard them called "Toby Rings"?
