Here's a couple 'o crappy pics of the beginnings of my 31 coupe. The front end is a 37-38 Plymouth that has batwings welded on with home-made wishbones and will be suicide mounted. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Looks great, Chop it! I did mine first time ever was easy as soon as I get my dam scanner to work I will post so you can see it. What are you doing for rear end set up maybe I can help, I kicked mine up the witdh of rear frame. Had it set up with original buggy spring it sat up a little to high for my taste took the spring to have it dearched and reverse the eyes, The price was almost as high as coil overs so I went that route. I wished I would have still gone with spring

Rude Dude - Ya, gonna chop it. Not to that point yet. I've got a '40 rear end and model A spring for the back. I think I'm gonna Z it about 7-8" in the back and hope that it's enough for my 7.50-16 Lester tires (with the 5" white wall!)
I'm stoked! My first coupe!

What are you planning to use for spindles, brakes and drums on that Plymouth front axle? I like its looks, but wonder about brake stopping power.

Stopping power? How about a nice set of nerfs up front - you can use everybody elses brakes...

YEAH... Looks like a KILLER project. Love that plymouth axle, I'm an advocate of the non chopped heavily channeled look... I have a few good pics I'll try to post when I get to my own computer... "It ain't real if it ain't steel"

Thanks guys. The cool thing about those Plymouth axles is that the Ford spindles fit them! I'm going to use '48 spindles and brakes because it's what I got. The hole in the axle will have to be reamed just a bit for the king pin.
I like it 'cause it's different.
