Hello everybody, I figured it's about time for me to post something about myself even if it does sound kinda stupid. My interest in hot Rods started in the fifties at my grandads service station and the neighborhood Hot Rodders. I am nearly sixity years old and own and operate a welding/fab shop in the D/FW metroplex. I guess I'm in the twilightzone since I'm in between FT.Worth and Dallas. I work on all kinds of Street Rods, Race Cars and even build/ repair Airplane parts accasionally , but my true love is building cars that are pre 60 and built from homemade or wrecking yard parts. One my shop speciailty is "HOT ROD LOUVERS".My Daily Driver is a slammed 50 Chevy Hrdtop.I'm currently building a Lakes Modified Model "A".I'm always happy to answer questions and tell what I know about Hot Rods especially to new comers because this sport dwells on others helping others.I'm also very glad to see there still some guys out there who are ready drive a car even though it's not painted and all dolled up.A true Hot Rod is never Finished but that don't mean it needs to be sittin' in the garage ----Paul

Primer gray IS a color. It is too bad that people got to rush off and cover it up with paint.

This is a very cool place and I bet you will be very happy here. Sounds like you have an interesting project on the front burner...and who knows I may make it down there one of these days and fall on by and check it out. We would really like to see pics of it here.

I run with the Central State Gassers Association and we have are branching out into the Dallas area. I will make sure they know about you.
