I just picked up my fenders for my "60" Olds 88 today at the bus station. They came all the way from Cali.I like buying my own x-mas presents because I always get something I really want. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mongo, Great idea, the bus station that is. Maybe I'll just stop there and see if Santa had my '34 fenders sent by BUS so he'd have more room in the sleigh.

how does that work? did UPS or Fedex refuse to ship them? i didn't know that greyhound would deliever auto body parts. is it pretty expensive to ship that way? i have a guy wanting to sell me a hood and trunk lid for my 54 chevy from the east coast. he mentioned that he would ship them greyhound. i had just never heard of such a thing.
thanks

When I was a "kid" ..., way before Fedx, Ups, and Grayhound we had the "Wells Fargo Wagon"...! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Low Springs the best way to ship big items is Greyhound. As long as its under 6 feet long and under 100lbs. It is VERY reasonable and they take things like hoods, fenders, and bumpers as long as they are properly boxed. Sent a 39 Ford fender last month from Michigan to Utah for $40!

thanks for the info. i wish i knew this earlier could have saved a fellow HAMBER some money. i sold a 51 Olds front windshield and shipped it to R.Island for $130 by UPS.http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

yup. the only catch is you have to pick it up at the bus station. a small price to pay for the cash you can save.

It cost $73.00 to ship my two fenders from Livermore, CA. to Grand Rapids MI.That is pretty cheap. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
