I tried to post a file of my flatty with a 400jr running and tried loading the file like I would a photo attachment and nothing happened. It seemed like it worked up until I saw the post and it wasn't there. I'm just a rookie at audio. I just yesterday got the audio from my camera to a file in the laptop.
Thanks in advance!

It'll have to be hosted on another site, with a link to it.

The HAMB doesn't support audio files. In order to treat the members to the sounds capable of making the male anatomy stiff, the said material has to be loaded on a site that does support music files, such as mp3 and WMV files. The site lone wolf posted is an example.
Once you have uploaded (Transferred from your computer to the site) the files, you then will have to place a link to the web site in a message posted on the HAMB. Like This...

http://www.ilovewavs.com/Holidays/Xmas/cf/Blue%20Christmas%20by%20Porky%20Pig.wav

The link is provided by use of cut/copy and paste - where you go to the website that has the item you want to point out, and right click on the info in the address bar at the top of the page, left click on "copy" in the window that opens, and then go to the message you are forming, and right click, selecting "paste" at the location you want it to appear. The address will appear like above.

Some internet providers (The people you pay money to to get access to the internet) provide you with a "home Page" that will allow you to post pictures and sounds you can link to. A Home Page allows you to present your life to the world, and proudly show pictures of embarrassing relatives.

However, with your limited knowledge of the workings of a computer, you may want to get a 10yr old relative to help you:D create a home page (That's a joke, son - in my best Foghorn Leghorn voice) :D

As a last resort, you can violate the ultimate male trait, and read the instructions..... :D

"Sorry to be so pc stupid"

We all started with the same knowledge. If you've progressed to being able to post on a message board, you're ahead of a lot of people already. The best bet is to find a computer savvy friend or relative who lives close to you and can demonstrate "how to" in a hands on environment. If you really want to learn, most community colleges have courses to teach computer use.

Good Luck...

Thanks for the site Lone Wolf and a big thanks for those detailed instructions Mutt. I had various and sundry pc classes when I used them at work a lot. We only had a local area network so I never learned about the Internet until I retired and finally got my laptop. I learn something about every day just by trying things. I should take some kind of internet class though as I'm sure there's so much I have no clue about........just like the copy and paste on the address that you described so well. I'll probably try it tomorrow when I have some time.

Thanks again guys,

Tell Ya what, brother. if you go to www.putfile.com (http://www.putfile.com) you can upload mpeg movies, vids, sounds, and all kinds of stuff.

A month ago I was at the FTE National rally in Kansas, and one of the gang put this online -

http://media.putfile.com/Ford-Trucks-Rally-2005-036-movie-clip

Most of the trucks in the burnout contest were super duty diesels...
Dunno if you're at all into that, but at least you can see how it looks. Its super easy to load stuff on to putfiles server.

Sorry I missed your post on this thread, I see we posted at exactly the same time.
Yes, Sun Valley rules!! I've spent a lot of time there with my dad in the roaring roadster days and also with a midget of my own. And yes, I've known Steve for several years and he has some real nice cars and is a great
craftsman and a great guy! He is one guy that does it all.....even the upholstery, painting, flaming and pin striping. :)
